Fiduchi provides administrative support to clients in relation to yacht ownership and operation.
Our services may include crew employment and payroll support, financial reporting, bookkeeping, invoice processing, corporate administration, statutory filings, bank account administration and coordination with insurance providers and brokers.
Administration that works as hard as the structure
The ongoing administration of a superyacht ownership structure involves a wide range of practical responsibilities. Done well, it is largely invisible, the structure runs cleanly, records are current, counterparties have what they need and the owner and their advisers can focus on other things. Done poorly, it creates problems that are slow, expensive and disproportionate to fix.
Fiduchi provides administrative support that is tailored to the specific requirements of each vessel and ownership structure. We agree a clearly defined scope of services at the outset and work within it consistently, adjusting as the vessel’s operational profile evolves.
Corporate Administration
We maintain the corporate records of the holding entity, manage statutory filings and ensure that the governance framework of the structure remains current and consistent with applicable requirements. This includes maintaining registers, preparing minutes and resolutions, supporting annual filings and coordinating with registry contacts.
Crew Employment and Payroll
Crew employment is one of the more complex elements of yacht ownership, and one where the consequences of getting it wrong can be significant for the owner, for the structure and for the crew themselves.
Requirements vary depending on the crew member’s nationality and residence, the flag state, the yacht’s cruising area and the structure through which employment is administered. Fiduchi establishes and administers crew employment and payroll arrangements, either through a dedicated employment vehicle or as part of the broader ownership structure.
Our support typically includes:
Payroll processing and payment administration,
Employment contract administration and record keeping,
Coordination with legal and tax advisers on applicable employment, social security and flag state requirements,
Liaison with captains and yacht managers on crew changes and operational requirements.
Financial Reporting and Bookkeeping
The financial administration of a superyacht, crew costs, supplier payments, operating expenses, maintenance, insurance premiums and, where applicable, VAT or other tax-related filings, requires consistent attention and accurate record keeping.
Fiduchi provides bookkeeping, management reporting, payment administration and invoice processing as part of the ongoing administration of the ownership structure. Where required, we can also assist with bank account administration and payment card arrangements, subject to applicable due diligence requirements.
Insurance Coordination
Insurance for a superyacht should reflect the vessel’s value, intended use, cruising area and operational profile. The appropriate cover for a privately used vessel differs materially from that required for one engaged in charter activity.
Fiduchi does not provide insurance advice. We can make introductions to experienced, independent brokers and support the administrative aspects of insurance arrangements, premium payment coordination, documentation management and record keeping, as part of the broader administration of the structure.
Counterparty Coordination
Superyacht ownership involves a wide network of counterparties, flag state and registry contacts, yacht managers, captains, brokers, lenders, insurers, legal advisers and tax specialists. Keeping these relationships aligned and ensuring that each party has what they need, when they need it, is a material part of what we do.
Fiduchi acts as the administrative hub of the ownership structure, managing information flows, coordinating responses and ensuring that the structure’s governance and records support the wider team effectively.
